Project 5: 10Ply Boucle Alpaca Yarns

Project 1: Alpaca Ultimate's lightweight alpaca fabric woven in NZ.
The aim of this project was to create a run of fabric with 6 different weave patterns & 3 colours to gain an understanding of what could be done with 100% alpaca fibre when creating fabric.
This project utilised 21 micron fibre & was a starting point to compare with, when Alpaca Ultimate moved into the next phase of it's fabric project.
The lustre and handle of this fabric are very impressive.
Project 2: Alpaca Ultimate's lightweight alpaca fabric woven in NZ.
The aim of this project was to create a run of fabric with a mix of fibres as well as another run of 100% alpaca this time in solid colours.
The Black & Beige fabric are the 100% alpaca fibre, whilst the Grape & Teal fabric are a blend of 85% alpaca with 15% silk.
This project also utilised 21 micron fibre.
The fabric was displayed at the NZ National Expo where it received high praise from the visiting public.
Project 3: Alpaca Ultimate's lightweight alpaca fabric woven in NZ.
This project moves into the next phase of the fabric manufacture with the use of 19 micron alpaca in a another 100% alpaca fabric.

Project 4: 100% alpaca yarn manufactured in NZ.
Completed - this yarn project utilises 20 micron alpaca in a light weight fine ply high quality yarn, suitable for the creation of fine knitwear.
